MEET YOUR MAYOR
Hello, I’m Mayor John Horhn. As your mayor, my vision for Jackson is rooted in progress, accountability, and opportunity. Jackson Rising is our shared commitment to building a city that works for its people. From stronger neighborhoods and safer streets to transparent government and economic growth, I believe in leading with integrity and bringing the community into every step of the process. Together, we are writing a new chapter for our capital city defined by the strength, resilience, and creativity of our people.
TOGETHER, WE RISE
For decades, our city has faced challenges in infrastructure, public safety, blight, and investment. With Jackson Rising, we’re turning a new page. We’re coordinating efforts across neighborhoods, business, government, and community organizations so improvements are not just promises, but visible realities. We’re committed to listening, doing the hard work, and being transparent every step of the way. You should expect city services that are responsive and reliable, public spaces that reflect our pride, and projects that make a difference in your daily life. Thank you for being part of this moment. Jackson’s story is being written now, and I’m glad you’re here with us. — Mayor John Horhn
